W Wiązowcu urodziła się Alina Nowik, córka Michała (ur. 1890) i Berty Walter (ur. 1897 na Łotwie). W 1940 cała rodzina została wywieziona na Syberię, skąd wrócili w 1946 r. już do Polski.
