Ищу информацию о предках, по фамилии Скваж (Skwarz).
Жили веками в Пружанском и Кобринском уездах, Гродненской губернии. Точно известно, что жили в деревнях Осовцы и Пляховщина.
Фамилия достаточно редкая, у каких-то её носителей видоизменялась.
Например, Сквар, Скварж, Скваш или Скважа.
Буду признательна за любую информацию. reply

По фамилии Скваж.
В д. Пляховщина, которая относилась в 1845 году к фольварку Селец, имения Селец Графини Замойской Анели из князей Сапегов, не встречается фамилия Скваж.
В выкупных делах за 1865 год в Пляховщине не упоминается Скваж.
Также в страховых ведомостях за 1916 год в Пляховщине нет фамилии Скваж.
Думаю, что Вам не стоит копать в направлении д. Пляховщина.
По Осовцам можно проверить те же документы, что и Пляховщина. Возможно, там найдутся Скваж.
По моим выпискам Скваж в 1845 году жили в д. Козлы, которая относилась к фольварку Забабье имения Селец.
