Территория Ушачского района, где располагается деревня Завечелье к Польше, (если мы говорим о Речи Посполитой II 1920-1939 гг. ) не относилась. Этот регион входил в зону, аннексированную русскими. То, что Ваш прадед был записан поляком - явление обычное. В те времена национальная принадлежность отражала скорее не этническое происхождение, а конфессиональную и мировоззренческую ориентацию. Умные, интеллектуально развитые люди не желали иметь никакого отношения к полудикой Московии и делали таким образом свой маленький "европейский выбор". Практически вся шляхта, подавляющее большинство интеллигенции и значительная доля крестьянства на землях сегодняшней Беларуси документировались как "поляки" не зависимо от этнического происхождения. Реально же Станкевич - широко распространённая в Полоцко-Лепельском регионе фамилия. reply
