All Jews who stayed in Shumiachi were executed on November 18th 1941 by the local armed people supporting Germans. Same happened in other local villages (e. g. Petrovichi) My family (last name Estrin) lived in Shumiachi in the late 19th century.

I live in Austin, TX now, but also lived in Israel for 8 years.
