The surnames you mentioned are widespread in this village. Were they Catholic or Orthodox? And what are the approximate years they lived there?
My great-grandparents, Łukasz and Tekla Bryl, certainly lived in Lubiszczyce Cerkiewne or Poduchowne. My grandfather Antoni was born in Lubiszczyce (I don’t know which one) in 1906, and his brother Ignacy in 1910, so I think they lived there during those years. They also had a sister, Katarzyna, whose married name was Żygało (Żygajło). As for their religion, I’m not sure; Lubiszczyce Cerkiewne suggests they were Orthodox. I would be grateful for any information.

Hi! Thank you for your reply. If possible, I’d be very grateful if you could put me in touch with the researcher who specialises in this village and its metricall books; perhaps she’ll be able to find out something, especially as some of my family (my grandfather Antoni’s sister’s branch) live in Iwacewicze and the surrounding area.reply
